Eight former Ambira High School students will stay in remand

26th November, 2018

Eight former Ambira High School students seen in a viral video hurling insults at interior cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiangi and his education counterpart ambassador Amina Mohamed, will stay in remand till the third of December. This follows a successful application by the prosecution to keep the boys in custody for 7 days to allow for the conclusion of investigations, a prayer that was granted by senior resident magistrate Gladys Adhiambo. Police say they are still in the hunt for more students who were part of the group seen in the viral video. Dr Fred Matiangi, who was represented by advocate Nyandoro Kambi, is yet to record a statement.
