How Kenyans are set to benefit from Blue Economy

Kenya is seeking to reduce illegal fishing in order to raise returns among fishing communities. This emerged at the blue economy conference that kicked off today at the KICC. President Uhuru Kenyatta is asking countries participate in the inaugural sustainable blue economy conference to address the challenge of plastic pollution in waters bodies. Estimates now show that Kenya loses close to 10 billion shillings to illegal fishing.
