President Uhuru's biggest concern as historic #BlueEconomy2018 conference kicks off in Nairobi

President Uhuru Kenyatta has called for collaboration Among countries to confront threats to world water bodies.

Uhuru who was speaking at the ongoing Sustainable Blue Economy Conference in Nairobi, stated his four key strategies towards protecting and exploring the potential of Kenya's blue economy.

Kenya is hosting the first global blue economy conference in which about 11,000 delegates from around the world are participating.

The three day summit aims to share lessons on how to harnesses the potential of oceans, seas, lakes and rivers to improve the lives of all, particularly people in developing states, women, youth and indigenous people.

The inaugural ocean economy summit is co-hosted by Canada, Japan and  Kenya having each contributed sh300 Million.
