James Mugo Ndichu, who passes himself off as Dr. Mugo wa Wairimu, was on Friday charged with running a pharmacy and a medical laboratory without licenses. He pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Martha Mutuku in a Milimani court. Mr. Mugo faced two counts of unlawfully running a pharmacy not registered by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board. The prosecution asked the court to deny him bond because he has a proven history of jumping bail. The court will rule on December 6 on whether to free him on bond.
