Butterfly farming in Arabuko Sokoke forest growing demand internationally

Butterfly farming within he Arabuko Sokoke forest in Kenya has received a major boost after a team of renowned international butterfly exhibitors and suppliers from all over the world expressed interest in buying the products. The international butterfly exhibitors together with scientists for the first held a one week conference in Malindi to learn more about the African butterfly which is bred at Arabuko Sokoke forest. More than 7,000 farmers living adjacent to the area are reaping heavily from kipepeo farming.
