Research conducted by BBC News to curb the business of fake news

Fake news is an issue that need to be curbed, but while the fight struggles to thrive, the sources still have their business booming. The issue is even more prominent on the digital platform. Whereas some companies thrive on the fake news with their advertisement on those sites and hide behind its curtains. Research has been done on the state of fake news in Kenya through the beyond fake news forum by BBC news.it analyses how and why people are sharing ‘fake news’ on encrypted messaging apps and their closed social media networks. It will be used by the BBC in cooperation with other media houses to help in the search for solutions to stop the sharing of damaging fake news.
