Mudavadi pleads with President Kenyatta, “Utusaidie, utuokoe kwa madeni”

11th November, 2018

ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi on Friday urged President Uhuru Kenyatta, to make sure that his Jubilee administration manages public debts in a manner that will not hurt Kenyans.

Speaking during the burial of Kalonzo Musyoka’s father, Peter Mairu Musyoka, the former deputy prime minister expressed his concerns in the manner the government was accruing public debts.

President Kenyatta, however, defended the move by his government to borrow from foreign countries saying it was justified.

The president, while speaking at the same event, said the government needs extra funding necessary for expansion of infrastructure and other projects.

This, he said, was the only way the country can achieve its development goals.
