The Madaraka express train has now ferried two million passengers since it started operations one and a half years ago. 

The two millionth passengers was unveiled Saturday as the Madaraka express train boasts of improved train services from Nairobi to Mombasa. The train service decided to honor its passenger number two million today, a mother of three, who had just silently come to the city to pick up her son who has just completed his KCPE exams but will be returning home loudly with a resounding reception from the staff of the standard gauge railway.
