Opposition Chief Raila Odinga has been appointed as the African Union representative for infrastructure and development in Africa, thanks to the handshake between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta. While announcing the new appointment which was made by President Uhuru Kenyatta who was presiding over this years Mashujaa day celebrations in Kakamega County, Kenyatta called on other opposition leaders to join hands and work with the current government for the sake of the country's unity.
