So even as traders hope for the best, the chairperson of

        the multi agency team Wanyama Musiambo has dismissed

        claims by the Nairobi importers and traders association

        that government officials from the anti?counterfeit

        agency and Kenya Bureau of Standards were harassing

        traders under the guise of fighting contraband goods.

         Musiambo told parliament that out of the 483 containers

        with goods imported by small scale traders, the

        government has released 166 containers. however, police

        have impounded another 28 containers for investigations.
