Friends gathered in Kakamega for a funeral service of victims who perished in the Fort Tenan

17th October, 2018

Tears flowed freely as friends and relatives gathered at Amalemba grounds in Kakamega county for a funeral service of 31 victims who perished in the Fort Tenan accident in Kericho county that claimed 58 lives.

Mourners were overwhelmed with emotions as they remembered their loved ones whose lives were cut short in the accident.

Speakers at the funeral service called upon the government to assist the bereaved families financially as most of them were breadwinners for their respective families. Kakamega governor Wycliffe Oparanya who attended the service said his government would foot all the burial expenses.
