Deputy President William Ruto ‘makes one more u-turn’ to oppose referendum

13th October, 2018

A section of leaders from Kiambu County have vowed to support the push for referendum only if it is geared towards benefitting the common mwananchi. The leaders who were speaking in the presence of deputy president William Ruto said the changes to the constitution should only be done to reduce the burden on kenyans. On his part, Deputy President William Ruto said those pushing for the referendum were idle and said he together with president Uhuru Kenyatta should be allowed to continue with their agenda of implementing the big four agenda. The leaders were speaking during a church fundraiser at Kiamburururu in Kiambu County.
