They say it takes a village to raise a child; and in Kenya a different kind of “village” is progressively shaping the narrative of how Kenya’s over 2.6 million orphans and Vulnerable children are growing up. 

The SOS children’s village in Nairobi has adopted a different strategy that involves attaching kids to homes where they are brought up by a mother figure as part of ensuring they grow up in a homely set up.
