Freedom fighters want government to recognize them

A section of freedom fighters in the country are calling on the government to look into ways of appreciating and recognizing them. the Mau?Mau war veterans want the government to set aside positions for their representation in all the 47 county assemblies, the national assembly and the senate in order to ensure that their welfare is well taken care of. Speaking in Laikipia, the Mau Mau heroes also want the government to expedite the process of setting up the national heroes’ council established by the Kenya heroes’ act 2014 that is supposed to formulate the criteria for identification, selection and honoring of national heroes.
