In what has now become the climax of the water row in Muranga county, Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has weighed in on the issue, launching a scathing attack on his Muranga counterpart Mwangi Wa Iria.

A visibly angered Sonko told off Wa Iria over his threats to cut off the water supply to Nairobi county. This happened even as the Muranga county assembly held public participation forums that seemed to vindicate their governor.
