Africa needs to prioritize security, product packaging and ease accessibility in order to promote its tourism. This is according to CS of Tourism Najib Balala who was speaking at the first ordinary session of the African union ministerial subcommittee of tourism. The two day conference brings together delegates and ministers from African countries and is set to create a platform to deliberate on how to diversify Africa’s tourism product. Profiling tourism is considered a critical component of African economies and championing the implementation of the African ministers of tourism declaration in Lome, Togo in 2015.
