Kenya Commercial Bank has retained its position as the most attractive bank in the country ? as per Cytonn investments first half-year report on the banking sector, a position it has held since the financial year 2016. Equity group was ranked second while co?operative bank rose 2 positions to number 4 out of 6 in the first quarter of 2018. Kenya’s listed banks recorded a 19.0% growth in core earnings per share in the first half of 2018, compared to a decline of 14.4% in the first half of 2017, and a 5?year average growth of 6.7%.
