Historians suggest that the Luo traveled along the river Nile from southern Sudan finding their way into Kenya and settling on the fish-rich surrounding of Lake Victoria.
The lake would hook them to fishing as a mainstay. The art of fishing defining their delicacy as much as it did their livelihood. It is a hereditary trait that has spanned generations while netting both men and women in the white meat business.
