23rd September, 2018

There is need for countries playing host to refugees to integrate the displaced people in the host community in order to enhance rapid development to the benefit of host Populations UNHCR country representative, Raouf Mazou, says for instance, Kenya stands to gain a lot from   over 24,000 refugees living in kakuma and daadab refugee camps, if the policy of integration was to be actualized. Mr. Mazou made the remarks in Nairobi this morning, when he launched this year’s walk for safety campaign, an initiative by the UNHCR, seeking to raise awareness on funding for refugee besides encouraging host communities to nurture closer working relations with the refugees.
