Several MPs were today grilled by the national assembly's powers and privileges committee over bribery allegations made during the probe into the contraband sugar.

Most of the MPs who appeared before the Justin Muturi chaired committee denied the allegations save for DIdmus barasa and Geofrey Odanga. The committee is probing claims that some MPs were bribed to the tune of ten thousand shillings.
