Standoff at region's largest maternity hospital Pumwani, and the Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja says the quality of health care at the facility is wanting. Sakaja has blamed poor management for the poor quality of services rendered at the hospital. Sakaja who is the vice Shairman of security committee in the senate spoke alongside the chairman for devolution and chairman of health committees in the senate, when they toured Pumwani maternity hospital following the revelation of poor conditions at the hospital including malfunctioning incinerator. The leaders have condoled with the families whose children have died at the facilities while calling on proper use of resources toward achieving quality healthcare. The leaders have demanded further probe of claims they have noted from some patients and staff, toward a return to normalcy at the 9 decade old hospital.
