It is alleged that Mrs Obado was in communication Sharon over her alleged affair with her husband.

Her brother, Naftali Odie is also a person of interest in the ongoing investigations.

Second aide questioned

Yesterday afternoon, another close aid to Governor Obado was interrogated at Oyugis Police Station, Homa Bay County.

The man, who cannot be named as he is yet to make a court appearance was questioned in the same police station where the driver of a Toyota Fielder believed to have been used by the kidnappers was detained.

Speaking to The Standard, a source at the DCI confirmed Obado’s aide was questioned but could not say whether he was under arrest or just helping with investigations.
