Two suspects in attempted murder of former Garissa CEC to stay in remand

18th September, 2018

Two suspects in the attempted murder of former Garissa CEC for Finance Idris Mukhtar will stay in remand till Wednesday, a court in Nairobi has ruled.  The two Mohammed Hussein Aden and Juliet Charity Njoki are alleged to have committed the offence on august 19, 2018 at a restaurant along Kandara road in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, jointly with others. The prosecution has objected their release on bail on grounds that their accomplices are yet to be arrested and may therefore interfere with investigations. The two denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi.
