Fuel levy stand-off: Jubilee & ODM to hold PG meetings

18th September, 2018

State house Nairobi will today play host to jubilee party members of parliament, to ostensibly whip them to support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recommendations on the controversial vat levy on petroleum products. ODM is also expected to hold its parliamentary group meeting today. This even as the voice of dissent from the president's party over the proposal to have the tax reduced from 16% to 8 % continues to grow with a section of the opponents saying Kenyans are already over taxed.

Just how will this play out during the special sitting?
