KRA has unveiled three sniffer dogs. They beleive the k9's will play a huge role in the detection of narcotics and explosives at the jomo kenyatta international airport
The dogs which include a belgian melanois breed, vary from the age of 9 months to two years. They will be an addition to the german shepherd breed that kra alraedy have, bringing the number of the k9's at the international airport to four.
The dogs will work hand in hand with 7 new handlers. The move by the revenue allocation body comes barely a month since jkia achieved the last point of departure status to the united states of america. Kenya is expected to begin direct flights to the usa on october 28th this year.
