Nakuru Deputy Speaker Samuel Tonui in police custody in connection to Njoro clashes

Nakuru Deputy Speaker Samuel Tonui and eleven others are being held in police custody in connection with the ongoing tribal clashes that have rocked eight villages in Njoro, Nakuru County. 

They were arrested on a day when the government slapped a 6pm to 6am curfew to contain the worsening security situation in the area.
