A Nairobi court has this afternoon thrown out an application by the Nairobi County assembly seeking to block orders by the employment and labour relations court from reinstating Beatrice Elachi as the speaker of the assembly. 

The legal blow dealt on the Nairobi members of county assembly now means that Elachi is legally still in office until the matter is heard on Monday by the same court. 

And as Timothy Otieno reports, the Nairobi MCA’s are adamant that Elachi will not be allowed anywhere within the county head office
