5th September, 2018

Homa Bay County Woman Representative Gladys Wanga and her Migori County counterpart Dr Pamela Odhiambo, have called on DCI Geroge Kinoti to find the killers of university student Sharon Otieno.

Ms. Otieno, a second year  Medical Records and Information student at Rongo University was found dead with stab wounds in Kodero Forest Homa Bay County on Tuesday after being abducted on Monday.

Ms. Wanga said the probe on the circumstances surrounding Ms. Otieno's demise will be the real test for the efficiency of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

Wanga further condoled with Nation Media Group reporter Barack Oduor who was abducted along with Ms. Otieno, but who managed to escape from the vehicle in which they had been forced by unknown assailants.

MIgori County Woman Representative Dr Pauline Odhiambo urged young women not to be drawn in to a lavish lifestyle and instead called on them to be content with their student status.
