The ongoing land crisis in Kenya has caught up with the konza ranching co?operative society. The society whose members are, mostly from wote area in Makueni County, are petitioning both the county and the national government to intervene and solve their land woes. The residents say that they were allegedly asked for a fee of 5000 shillings every time they ask for their title deeds a fee they highly question since they were supposed to get them for free. the ranch whose main inhabitants, according to the society` s chairman David,Mutanguli are poor peasants, has over 2000 title deeds lying at the county office.
