Embu health crisis

Health care services at the Embu level five hospital were paralyzed for the better part of the yesterday after doctors and nurses downed their tools calling for the sacking of the hospital CEO Dr Moses Njue for allegedly assaulting a female consultant gynecologist. Following the day long demonstrations and paralysis of services, Embu county government bowed to pressure and suspended the embattled chief executive officer. Speaking to the press the health workers who had camped at the Governor’s office since morning the decision to suspend dr njue and his position taken over by neurosurgeon Daniel Mugendi Njiru in an acting capacity. Nyaga said that the meeting between the county public service board and the ministry of health at county headquarters took that decision following public outcry and the county government will launch investigation into the matter
