Three suspects implicated in the maize scandal including Agriculture Principal Secretary Richard Lesiyampe have been released by a Nairobi court on a 3 million cash bail each.

 Lesiyampe, former National Cereals Board General Manager Newton Korir, and current NCPB General Manager Finance Cornel Kiprotich were rounded up by EACC detectives over alleged abuse of office and conspiracy to defraud in an 11.3 billion expenditure
