The court of appeal has overturned a high court ruling and upheld the election of Embu governor Martin Wambora'. Governor Wambora moved to the appeal court to challenge the nullification of his victory by the high court on September 19, 2017. His election was being challenged by another contestant Lenny Kivuti. A jubilant wambora addressed his supporters outside the appeals court in Nairobi shortly after the verdict.
