Hotel bookings and conferences in Naivasha have dropped by over fifty percent since the government downgraded the town status from the same levels as those of Kisumu and Mombasa. Hoteliers and local leaders are now crying foul accusing embattled tourism CS Najib Balala for orchestrating the move in favor of Mombasa.
