The use of chemicals to control pest and diseases has in the recent years been seen has as a health risk issue with many international markets putting strict compliance to quality standards, with consumers in these markets increasingly applying pressure on growers to reduce the chemical residues on export produce which in some occasion have seen Kenyan farmers incurred million in losses as their products fail to meet the standards of the export market. Now a Danish company Koppert Biologicals has come up with biological solutions to help farmers minimize the use of chemicals.
