A group of fishermen from Ngomeni village in Magarini Sub County have accused the police of trying to aid a private developer in displacing them from their land. The more than 3,000 fishermen who are members of the Ngomeni beach management unit told journalists that they were receiving threats from officers from the criminal investigation department who claim to be from Nairobi that they should vacate the five acre beach plot.
