A 12-year-old boy was arraigned in a Nanyuki court last week for allegedly sodomising five pupils at a local school.

The boy appeared before Resident Magistrate, Damacline Bosibori on allegations that on diverse dates between June 16 and July 23 this year at Ruai village in Laikipia County he sodomised the five standard three boys aged nine and 10 years.

The prosecution told the court that, the accused was preying on the minors while they were playing in the field at lunch hour.

The court heard how the boy used to get hold of the minors while playing in the field and dragged them to a nearby bush, where he threatened to gorge out their eyes or kill them if they failed to cooperate before sodomising them.

However, his forty days run out dramatically after one of the boys reported to the teacher who later reported to Nanyuki Police Station, leading to his arrest.

He, however, denied the allegations, with the court directing he be taken to Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital for age assessment and directed the Pro Bono committee to assign an advocate to him before he is produced in court on Friday.
