The Senate this afternoon deferred debate on the Solai dam tragedy report after Baringo senator Gideon Moi objected to the debate arguing that it will be subjudice.
Moi told the Senate that the Solai dam tragedy matter is in court where the owners are facing manslaughter charges and debating it will go against house standing orders. Several senators, however, argued that debate on the report is in line with the new standing orders which allow a matter of great public interest to be debated in the house.
