Coffee farmers can now follow price and sale auctions live thanks to the newly upgraded system at the Nairobi coffee exchange. The new system is expected to cut middlemen who have been a stumbling block towards farmers realizing better returns from coffee proceeds. Agriculture cabinet secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri lauded the move saying Kenya’s horticulture had potential to double exports and grow the country's economy .
