Mombasa City Askari shot by Prison warder

1st August, 2018

Mombasa city inspectorate has asked the national police service to investigate and prosecute an officer attached to Kenya prison wing at Shimo la Tewa, who allegedly shot one of the county marshals at Buxton area, yesterday. It is reported that the suspect was not on duty but was still armed at the time of the incident. The said officer apparently was denied parking on the pavement by the county Askari prompting the police officer to shoot.   The incident occurred at around 7:30 pm last night. Police in Mombasa have assured the public that proper investigations will be done to deliver justice.
