Kenya's petroleum sector reported gradual growth in the use of various products in the market with fuel oils rising by 12% as the lubricants market dipped.
According to the quarter two report by the petroleum institute of East Africa the overall performance of the industry grew by about 6% with demand for products bouncing back after a prolonged electioneering period witnessed late last year. Players in the sector are however concerned with the rise in adulterated fuel despite a tax hike on kerosene.
