Fish industry expands in Kisumu as traders convert waste into leather

In Kisumu, Kenya’s third largest city, fish is a culinary delight and one of the biggest economic activities of the city. But once the fish's most desired parts are sold off, the rest is wasted. Newton, a local tanner, has found an innovative way to make sure that no part of the fish is wasted: creating fish leather.
