Empty plastic bottle will now be bought at a fee in a new project aimed at empowering inhabitants of Nairobi who are not in gainful employment.
In the project that was launched by Nairobi county MP Esther Passaris, cash will be paid upon delivery at designated collection centres in a move also meant to protect the environment. The money according to the MP will be paid upon delivery at a collection centre rather than throwing them away as waste. Passaris has told women and youths to immediately start collecting the plastics saying the project will be up and running and would be expected to change lives.
