Shock and grief engulfed residents of Gankere village, Meru County following the murder of one of their own. Polly Kathambi aged 25 years was allegedly hit by a blunt object in the head after a domestic fight with her husband. She was said to be four months pregnant at the time of her death. Residents are pointing at illicit brew as having everything to do with the family wrangles.
