Moi Girls’ High School in Marsabit County has suffered a blow after a dormitory was destroyed by fire Friday afternoon. The dormitory caught fire as students were attending their afternoon lessons in what is believed to be an electrical fault. This comes a few days after several schools were destroyed by fire countrywide. According to a student who was an eye witnesses, the fire started as they were attending their afternoon classes. The dormitory which accommodates 90 students was reduced to ashes as boxes, mattresses and blankets were destroyed. According to Ronald Ngala, an official from the Marsabit county government department, the cause of fire could be an electric fault.
