The Eldoret-Nakuru highway is one of Kenya’s busiest motorways. The highway is infamous for road carnage especially at the Salgaa stretch. But with the construction of a 10 kilometer dual carrier and road safety enhancement from  Kabarak to Kibunja junction, transportation is expected to improve and significantly reduce the number of accidents along that stretch.
