Farmers in Lamu County hold demos in the island in support of government projects being implemented in the area. The residents said they were fully in support of the coal project as well as the Lappset project which they said would bring jobs to the many youths living in the area. They accused some civil society groups of opposing the coal project for their own personal gains.
