Busia governor Sospeter Ojaamong is at the Milimani law courts where he is expected to answer to several counts relating to a waste management project tender in Busia. According to the charge sheet, Ojaamong is facing charges of conspiracy to defraud the county government of Busia sh8m, engaging in a project without proper planning, and abuse of office. He is charged alongside 9 others who are facing charges of fraudulent acquisition of public funds and failure to comply with laws relating to management of funds. Crimes alleged to have been committed on diverse dates between 13th march and 25th September 2014. He is charged alongside 9 others, Timon Otieno Mbogo, Bernard Krade Yaite, Lenard Wanda Obimbira, Samuel Osieko, Allan Okweny, madam r enterprises limited, Edna Adhiambo Odoyo, Renish Achieng Omulo and Sebastian Hellen Sleben.
