A pupil was killed in unclear circumstances in Kaloleni, Kilifi County. The pupil was found dead with a gunshot wound on the chest moments after police shot in the air to disperse a crowd following an incident where a vehicle had been reported missing. Area residents have implicated the police in the murder but the police tell a different story. Kaloleni MP Paul Katana has told the family of the late Ndatani Primary School that he will hire a private pathologist to help them in the postmortem. Katana also revealed that he will be taking legal action against the officers.
