Several houses have been destroyed after a section of Kaptembwo in Nakuru caved in following heavy rains in the town.

Residents are now angered that the perennial drainage problem continues to be disregarded despite the area being mapped as one of the informal settlements meant to benefit from a 14 billion shillings World Bank Project to upgrade various slums in Kenya.
