The high court today temporarily suspended the appointment of Francis Muthaura as the chairman of the Kenya Revenue Authority following his appointment by the president. The case challenging the appointment was fronted by civil society activist Okiya Omtata, citing that the appointment was unconstitutional. Judge Byrum Ongaya also suspended the appointment of other board members pending hearing and determination of the suit.
